I signed a one year contract with slomin’s in the summer.Got a decent rate.

We purchased a new house and I wanted to transfer my account to the new house. They wouldn’t do it. The current rate had nearly doubled what I was locked in at. So I asked to cancel.

They threatened me with a $500 early termination fee if I don’t send them proof of the sale of the old house. Since everything was in boxes I didn’t have my contract readily available. The early termination fee is in there, however, they could have been decent as a company and let me know my contract period was up in less than two weeks.

I could have canceled the next delivery and been in the clear to cancel without having to do extra paperwork.I would have kept the company if they had transferred the account to my new place Or have been upfront about cancellation date.
