My oil tank was getting low this past early December and according to my Slomin's On-line account my next schedule oil delivery date was 12/16/17. I figured I was 5 days away and on a quarter tank and should have no problem waiting for the delivery.

On 12/18, I called Slomins to ask why I did not receive the schedule delivery and inform them that was was getting closer to 1/8 of a tank left and wanted to know when I could expect delivery. Slomin's informed me that my house was out for delivery and I should expect the oil 12/18 latest 12/19. On the night of 12/18, I called them to request an emergency drop as tank was at 1/8 full and I was keeping system off so I wouldn't bring the dredge at bottom of the tank through the furnace. They informed me that they there will be someone there on Tuesday but could not guarantee Tuesday.

Tuesday night I called to see what they story was and they then informed me that the oil would be coming either the 12/20 or 12/21. All of this as I restated that I was almost empty and had no fuel. At his point, I had enough with the horrendous customer service with Slomins and on Tuesday night I called a local supplier who dropped off oil the very next morning at 8:00am. I am not sure what is occurring with Slomin's or with its management, but there inability to provide a 2 year customer with oil for 4 days when they have requested an emergency drop is glaring.

Perhaps this Long Island firm is unable to satisfy the new customer base in the Hudson Valley and is not close enough to its distribution base? Or trying to maintain their customer base with the smallest possible fleet of trucks and drivers? Does not matter to this customer.

Yelling on the phone at the representative just doing her job would not have changed anything. Hit them where it hurts in the pocketbook, I called Tuesday night at closed my account once the local provider confirmed the delivery.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

I find that the Slomins representatives are very nasty they're always yelling really b***** when we call to ask question. Also when they filled up our oil tank they didn't give me a receipt right away they filled up at my house went to another house then came back and gave me the receipt so they added somebody else's oil to my bill. Slomins is horrible company can't be trusted they should be reported somebody should monitor what they're doing
